I feel like I’m a couple of years late to this party, but I’m enthralled with it anyway. Makes me want to go out and shoot a pig so I can make prosciutto. Or maybe just find some free-range eggs with which to make the best omelet ever.

The thought that came to my mind as I listened to this podcast about making public education more like Pandora radio: Where can I sign up to volunteer?

Just found this podcast that I’m pretty sure is going to be up there with This American Life and RadioLab on my “must listen” list.

This week’s episode of TAL confirmed to me what I had thought back when I was in junior high: We should all be sent to work in factories until we grew up. It’s also full of things I hope I can remember in ten years when my are that age. (Image from TAL.)

Micah and I watched this as part of the post-marathon celebration. We both enjoyed how subdued and understated it was, and were slightly perplexed by it. Anybody else seen it? Thoughts?

Just got this in the mail from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and, believe it or not, the “I think I can” mantra has really helped me on my past few hard runs.

I listened to this on Saturday night and was humbled and rejuvenated. I’m sure I will read it and listen to it and remember it and draw strength from it many times in the years to come.
