Mother Runner

About

January13

I started my ‘own’ running program approximately thirteen years ago.  I simply started walking as a means to get into shape.  Just a mile an evening .  Slowly I worked my way up to two then three miles.  Growing bored of just walking I began to jog.  Upon jogging in the early stages, I would sprint until I became winded.  As the weeks passed I realized I was running more than walking and loving it!

Since starting this program of mine; I have been married, had two children, divorced and bought my own home.  Through all the joy and sorrow one thing has held fast-running.  I implement it into my daily life as I do with eating, sleeping, working, etc.  I have completed about 20 5k races thus far (placing first in several).   I plan on working my way up to at least a 10k and possible a half marathon (13 miles).

I have started this blog to connect with other women/mothers who enjoy jogging, running, competing, meeting new people and the overall feeling of becoming/being a runner!  I am a busy single mother with two great kids, a full-time job, a dog, a rabbit, and a home.  My life is full of  errands, cooking, cleaning, sports, taking out the trash, paying bills, loving, disciplining, shopping, working-need i go on?  I know i am just like millions of other women out there.  You can reach me through www.motherrunner.com or my home e-mail at sinead3@verizon.net
