It was one of those weeks. So allow me to put on my rose colored glasses and pretend that I haven’t been contemplating shaving my head and/or running away to go live in the woods.
Here we go:
Hooray! Little Miss has her first tooth! This, of course, means that she will no longer be clingy and that she will be happy to have other people hold her and that my putting her down and walking in the other direction will not cause her to have a grand mal meltdown. And we’re that much closer to eating more real food and nursing just a little less.
A bottle dropped and hit my glasses. My glasses broke. I really liked those glasses. But the good news is that I have a spare pair. And that I wasn’t wearing them when they broke. Also, I needed something to spur me to get my eyes checked since I’ve noticed there’s been a change in my vision. So hooray! Blessing in disguise.
Little known fact: Scarlet fever still exists. I didn’t know that. Did you? So you can imagine my surprise when the boys’ pediatrician looked at Squish and told me he had a classic case of it. Another little known fact: Scarlet fever=strep throat. I had no idea! Also, strep can present as little sores around the nose and mouth. I learned this because Manchild had two little sores near his nose and mouth and the pediatrician took one look at him and said, “Looks like strep.” Oh. I had no idea. It’s amazing, those fun little facts you learn in the course of life. I feel so much better educated than I did at the beginning of the week.
And on Babble:
I really do love trying new things. I love it when my kids do, too. Disney is sponsoring a contest to encourage kids to TRY! Love it.
The pros and cons of owning a scale.
Can you walk around your neighborhood? Or is your neighborhood making you fat?
Some ideas about what to do with all the eggs you bought for Easter. Yum. The baked eggs are on my list.
If you think you can rant away your bad day, think again!
Happy weekend! And, more importantly, Happy Easter.
