Note on the Sister and Daughter

These “notes” are ideas for essays/longer posts. If you see one that you think would make a good essay/post or that you just want to see what I would do with it, please let me know in the comments or in an e-mail! I would love to take on a challenge like that.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my plea for things to be excited about in having a girl. While the truth of the matter is that it still makes me nervous, there are two things that make it easier for me to be excited by the idea of having a daughter: 1. My boys will have a sister. And I think it will be pretty awesome for all of them. I’m excited to see the sibling dynamics develop as she gets older. 2. Micah has been excited to have a daughter since we got engaged. I’m pretty sure she’s already got him wrapped around her little finger. And I look forward to seeing that side of Micah.

  1. I totally forgot about that part of having a girl. Sam freely admits to having a soft spot for Anna that just isn’t quite the same for Levi. One of his coworkers will soon be having twin girls and though Sam admitted girls tend towards more drama, he said he never expected how special the daddy-daughter relationship would be

That’s good to hear, Heather. I really am excited for Micah to have a daughter, even if I am still a little afraid of ruining her.
