It will come as a surprise to probably no one that I would love it if I could wear running clothes all day, every day. Even if I don’t go running that day. Especially if I don’t go running that day, because if I did go running, and then I wore my running clothes the rest of the day . . . well, that stinks. Not even kidding.
And because I don’t get to wear my running clothes all day every day, I have a hard time justifying spending much money on them. Most of my shirts came “free” with the race registration. I’ve been wearing the same shorts for years. And years. And years.
But can I tell you that it’s pretty awesome to be able to pull together an “outfit” from my running clothes? To feel almost “put together” as I go out for a run? It’s pretty awesome. True, I don’t necessarily feel like I look awesome, because, as we discussed last week, I’m not in love with trying to clothe my pregnant body, but it’s nice to have clothes that are both functional and fashionable. For once in my life. And especially at this time in my life.
