I took two weeks off from running and it was worth it. I went out this morning and the leg didn’t give me any problems. I’m still going to ice it and take extra special care of it for the next 10 weeks or so. And in case you are curious, I am going to use a less intense training plan for at least a few weeks and then ease my way back into the more intense one. I don’t know why. Maybe I just don’t want to feel like I was defeated by a training schedule.
It was definitely worth it to stay up until 2:00 on Saturday night. I don’t always think that about the nights I stay up that late. But when you hear the scritch-scritch-scritching of a mouse digging in your children’s bedroom . . . well, you weren’t going to get any sleep until the problem was disposed of anyway.
Micah and I agree that it has been worth it to make granola every week for over a year. We still wake up looking forward to our daily bowl and it never disappoints.
The jury is still out on whether or not it is worth it to “encourage” Manchild to eat all of his dinner before he eats anything else. He’s having sweet potato soup for breakfast in the morning. I wonder if we’ll make it to school on time.
The pre-k registration due date is in a few days. We are going to see it come and go without even obtaining an application. I sure as heck hope it’s worth it to keep Manchild home next year.
