For those of you who were hoping for another tasty soup recipe today, I’m sorry. Would you believe we’ve only managed to all be home for dinner once this week? It’s true. Rest assured there will be another installment of SoupFest next week. Recipes are still welcome, if you have one.
For those of you who have noticed that the Garmin widget on the sidebar has not been updating for the past few days (I’m sure there are many of you who visit the Mother Runner first thing in the morning so you can see how many miles I ran), it’s because I broke the device that allows the computer and the watch to talk to each other. Yeah. I sat on it. We can buy a new one for 99 cents on ebay. And have it shipped for only $20.
For those of you who have been wondering if Manchild will be running the Utah Valley Marathon with us in June, the answer is no. He’s too young. Maybe when he’s twice as old. Seven-year-olds are old enough to run marathons, right? As long as they wear helmets and knee pads? (With plenty of body glide, of course.) And if you are wondering about our training plan, here’s a link to it.
And for those of you who are just thankful that it is Friday (perhaps you have been referring to every day since Tuesday as Friday? — not that I would ever do such a thing: I’m always very organized, methodical, and metered), we made it. Finally. Enjoy the weekend. Hope it’s warm enough for a good, refreshing run, wherever you are.
